Adriana Oxford is an interior designer and artist located in Houston, TX, specializing in custom oil paintings, house clearings, and strong story telling. She has been named as a Rising Designer by Interior Design Magazine, had the pleasure of being a keynote speaker at the International Retail Design Conference, and her work has been featured in publications across the nation, including ID Magazine, Houston Business Journal, Seattle Business Journal, Restaurant Design + Development, to name a few.
She has always operated under the notion that art and architecture are combined – the experience is homogenous. Art speaks to space, and space speaks to art. The reality is that art interventions can have a powerful impact if treated properly. The ways in which we interact with our environment, in both material and immaterial ways, are the ways we form our lives. When art becomes less of an object and more of a trigger for experience, it becomes a vehicle for self- expression and a chance to tell your story.
As an artist, Adriana’s paintings mostly allude to the figure. There is nothing quite as spiritual, natural, ‘of God,’ than the human body. Her work abstracts real life men and women to an essence – their aura and soul – the hue she sees in them. Her paintings are a love letter to color and life.
