Hampshire based British photographer, Anna Fairs has had a keen interest in photography since her school days. Working as a professional portrait photographer for many years she started creating art work with this medium in 2018. She uses slow shutter speeds, ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and a digital darkroom to create bold and colourful abstract pieces of art.
Her work is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and the raw material she uses to create her unique pieces is captured whilst exploring the Hampshire countryside. She’s passionate about colour and the power it has to touch someone in a positive way.
“I love the beauty of nature, the shapes and colours of flowers and and how the light falls on them. I’m drawn to using creative photographic techniques as they enable me to explore these in a way representational photography doesn’t allow.”
Anna’s art is hung in private collections in Denmark, UK and US.
