Not completely untrained, I walked away from my Art studies about 20 years ago for personal reasons and decided to work 9-5. Now, after climbing several mental health mountains and discovering what I definitely don’t want to do, I have reconnected with myself and am painting and drawing again. In my time working, I was employed by two global publishing houses, one of the top advertising agencies in the world, as well as smaller digital creative agencies, but nothing beats painting for yourself and the rush of completing an idea.
I love colour; I love composition and I hope this is reflected in my work. I am inspired by most art of the 20th century, in particular abstract expressionism, surrealism, pop art, modernism, hard-edge, colour, music. The universal ideal to create, continuing to evolve, and change our perspectives, that’s where it is – progression = life!
Exhibiting at the International Contemporary Art Fair, Luxembourg, 18-20 September 2020 –
