Being a self-taught artist, I have derived much of my inspiration from the “GROUP OF SEVEN”, the French Impressionists, and the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh (Bahá’í Faith).
My family and I moved to Vancouver Island in 1988 from Alberta where I first began to paint (approx. 35yrs.ago).
With increasing confirmation and success in my work since that time, I decided in June 1993 to pursue painting on a full-time basis.
During the last few years, I have had many successes and completed several commission pieces for architects, a television production company, and numerous corporate and private collectors. Aside from my studio, my work can be seen at
My aim is to just have fun….simple! My whimsical work is totally spontaneous and from my imagination. I often paint the current subject matter or ordinary things in life. I love to include the human element if possible. Each painting is a total surprise to me when finished. At first, the process was a bit scary, but I am so excited to get up to the easel and see what happens, without any premeditated plan. I just paint the ideas that come to me. Sooooo much fun. Hope it makes people smile!
