Carol takes her inspiration from the bright colours of nature and the landscapes of her native North Yorkshire.

Many of her acrylic paintings are inspired by bold florals and beaches, often created with a palette knife to create texture and thick colour to her work. Her recent attention and passion are for showing her love and appreciation of the turning tides and their effect on the coast.

Collage and inks are apparent in some of Carol’s art. She uses multi-media to create a variety of textures and finishes. Resin is employed on some of her smaller artworks to create a shiny, tile-like finish.
