Carling Wong-Renger is a contemporary Canadian artist based in Vancouver, Canada. Carling interprets the botanical, natural world poetically with dramatic oil paintings. Inspired by her love for the Renaissance artwork of Old Masters, Carling employs visual allegory based on symbolism, Biblical, and Greek Mythological themes as part of narrative stories behind her painting series.
Carling moved to Vancouver from Hong Kong as a young teen. She graduated with honors from the Emily Carr College of Art and Design (Now Emily Carr University of Art + Design). After working as a graphic designer for nearly a decade, Carling decided to pursue her passion for painting full-time. She continues to grow as she follows her artistic path. Carling's works exhibit in Vancouver and the US.
