Contemporary artist Emma Yeoman lives and works in beautiful North Yorkshire, between the Jurassic coast and the rugged moors. Emma recently finished university with a diploma in Fine Art. In her day job Emma works for an established Yorkshire artist with willow and wire to create sculptures. As part of this work, pieces have been displayed at Chelsea Flower Show (2017) Great Yorkshire Show (2019, 2018) giving Emma experience of exhibiting at large venues. However, when working on personal pieces Emma typically works in acrylic paints on canvas creating striking contemporary artworks using techniques including splattering, mottling and
obstructive blocks – which are often instrumental to the designs. Emma also develops texture using paint brushes and various techniques to create movement and contrast. Emma’s time in North Yorkshire and UK cities allows her to incorporate rural and urban inspirations into her work. Emma sees herself as a free spirit who uses her love of nature and open spaces as
inspiration for her work. Emma hopes her artwork will reach people from all over the world and uses her photography skills to promote it through social media.
