Fay Goulding, based in Cambridgeshire, has always had a passion for the arts. From a child, she was very musical and went on to take grades in piano, singing, and musical theory. She was also a keen gymnast who fell in love with the art of movement and dance from a young age. During her school years, Fay would go on to study art, theatre, and music. In 2011 she completed a BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design with Merit, and by 2015 she had achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Performance at The University of Sheffield. She then went on to study acting for a year in London and worked as a professional actress, model, and part-time gymnastics coach for many years after that.
During this time, Fay’s passion for art and creativity had never really left her side. She had ventured into many creative side businesses like Glass Painting and Jewellery making and had designed/created a number of large-scale decorative installations for big events. It wasn’t until April 2020, the uneasy time of lockdown and financial uncertainty, that her passion for painting was reignited. Whilst being furloughed, painting had given her a huge creative outlet and was the ultimate distraction to a world that sometimes felt like it was falling apart. The response to her work was incredible and the ongoing commissions she received from thereon kept her busier and happier than ever. What started as a therapeutic hobby to keep her anxiety at bay, turned into a rekindled passion and new and exciting business venture.
Fay uses a range of mediums including acrylic, oil, watercolor, mixed media, and more, to create a variety of experimental, bold, and meaningful pieces of work. Her specialties are abstract and fine art acrylic paintings.
