My name is Helia Tayebi, living in the beautiful and historic city of Delft in the Netherlands. Always in search of beauty, it stimulates and inspires me to make visual art. People fascinate me the most, which results in the mail theme of my work: portraits. I get most of my inspiration from photography, either existing or my own.
My style is best described as expressive and modern, yet with classical elements. I like to work with various materials which I also combine, such as watercolor, ink, pen, pastel, oil-and acrylic paint. My latest collection is a series of illustrations based on the fifties and sixties fashion photography, all made with watercolor and ink.
