I was born and raised in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. I currently live in Anderson, South Carolina. I started independently exploring my own artistic abilities at a young age. Although many years have passed, the same passion and enthusiasm I had then have stayed with me throughout my life.
I am influenced by many artists such as Edward Degas, Mary Cassatt, Frida Kahlo, Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Willem de Kooning. I also enjoy fashion illustrators including David Downton, René Gruau, Bernard Blossac, Jean Demarchy, and Gerd Grimm. Visiting gardens, historical sites, galleries, and reading about other artists inspire me. Every day I think about what I will do differently.
My work is very diversified. It is not continuously reaching into one single subject—it branches into multiple subjects, ideas, and mediums. One common aspect of my work is that I like to capture the simplicity of things, yet make them feel relevant. An example of this may be found in my landscapes, which capture simplicity and movement.
I enjoy working with drawing and oil painting materials. I love the experimental aspect that comes with it. I also find it satisfying to try new products on the market.
