Kelly Huang is a digital artist and illustrator originating from China, and now based in New York City. Receiving her bachelor’s degree from Pratt Institute and pursuing her master’s degree at Columbia University, Huang is the founder of a sustainable cultural development start-up. Focusing on people and the younger generations, Kelly Huang aims to create art that will connect people around the world. With a style that evokes emotion through colors, she states, “Art is an action coming with an intriguing process that allows you to go wild sometimes and helps you explore yourself a little bit better. It evolves a conversation that reflects everything visually through the surface of elements while later on get you to your soul.”
With Chinese roots, Kelly Huang seeks to create art programs for children and adults that will connect eastern and western culture. She has recently partnered up with scientist Dr. Jing J. Yang to create the Sunflowers series and the Sea and Sky collections. These installments close the gap between art and science by radiating art and science’s aesthetic in a nontraditional way. Kelly Huang advocates that art is one of the best ways to empower people, and serves as a healing mechanism when people are going through difficult times. Kelly Huang is an artist to keep an eye on as her work is set to impact the world.
