My interest in art really started when I was about 8 years old, a family friend had passed away, who was a brilliant artist, and I was given one of her watercolor sketchbooks. Seeing her work gave me the drive to want to be as talented and skilled as her. I started out with watercolor and was greatly encouraged by my primary school teachers to pursue art throughout education. I still enjoy painting floral pieces today in this medium as it’s so nostalgic for me (I still own the watercolor palette from primary school).
More recently I have explored acrylic pouring and love the individuality of each piece.
My fluid art pieces are inspired by the book ‘above the world’ by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, my work reflects satellite images of the earth from above, I most often create commissions for seascapes as I have always felt a connection to the ocean and each piece presents a unique blend of blue and turquoise hues.
