Art is great fun as it expands the soul and creates connection and collective wellness. To apply this philosophy, I observe and draw every day in order to understand the pattern, rhythm and colour of my surroundings. I compose pictures that tell a story by drawing, painting, collaging and layering my responded observations of land, sea and nature. Inspired by artists like David Hockney, Matisse, Henry Moore and many New Zealand artists including Rita Angus, Dick Frizzell and Jeffrey Harris , I continue to become bold and vivid in my interpretations. I design from my dreamy studio next to the rampant Cook Strait sea in Wellington, Aotearoa. (New Zealand)
