Marine Poiraton was born in France in 1991 and raised in the Paris area.
After graduating from a literary section in high school, she enrolls in a one-year preparation course in applied arts in Paris. Next she moves to Brussels where she will be admitted to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and then to ERG (École de Recherche Graphique), where she will get a MFA in graphic design.
During these years in Brussels she will develop her skills in visual communication, graphic design and typography, but also in analog photography, printing techniques such as screen printing and risography, illustration, animation and more. Besides, she participated in a group exhibition: OLP (Objet Littéraire Plastique) in March 2014.
Always curious about contrasts, compositions, matching colors and bold simplicity, Marine bases her artworks in the act of balancing abstract memories, language – which is a constant concern for her, whether spoken, written or bodily – feelings and music. All these interests are influenced by her modern approach to arts and the diversity of her education and her experiences as a graphic designer and art director.
