"Just what is going on in Mark Perry-Young’s head? Well, the contents of the Yorkshire man’s mind spill out into his pieces of Post Vandalism art.
Often humours, sometimes profound they show the honesty and vulnerability of the artist.
Taking influence from pop culture, politics, the social media revolution and his own experiences of growing up in a small mining town in West Yorkshire in the 80s and 90s.
Mark’s journey into art is truly unique. An ex coal-miner, at the age of 16 in the early 2000s he surrounded himself within the DIY punk scene to escape his hostile 9 to 5 reality.
He was allured to the punk scene by its politics, the music, the aesthetic. This punk influence is strikingly evident in his works and couples humorously along side his northern take on the world."
