Miyakah (Micah Lindo) is a Black, Neurodivergent Painter and Computer Scientist located in Toronto, Canada. They use their gifts as a neurodiverse person to explore the range of complex emotions and experiences through the lens of abstraction including synesthesia and automatism. Whether it be political, spiritual, intimate, or cultural, Miyakah’s work seeks to communicate their unique experience, all the while allowing the viewer to reflect on their own. Miyakah works primarily with oil paints and oil sticks and plans to explore sculpture in the near future.
Miyakah will be one of 50 International artists published in EL GRAN ANUARIO INTERNACIONAL DE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO 2021: EDICIÓN MADRID i.e, The Great International Yearbook of Contemporary Art 2021: Madrid Edition. This includes 4 complete pages, published officially and held at the National Library of Spain. The book will feature artists from 10 different countries.
Miyakah will also be one of the international artists exhibiting at Salon international d'art contemporain Bruxelles, 2020! i.e. International Contemporary Art Fair Brussels, 2020.
