My artistic name is ReCreativeArtwork, and my name is Renate Ellingsen. I was born in 1983 in Norway, and my young family lives by the beautiful Oslofjord. I’m a lawyer, but I don’t practice law at the moment. When I got health issues, years ago, I needed a slow pace hobby, and that’s how I found painting. I started with regular acrylic painting, and I mostly painted geometric shapes. It was in line with the lawyer side of me, but I felt confined by my art style. So I started diluting the paints with water, and painted with syringes and blowing the paints around. This was much more fun!
In 2019, I discovered acrylic pouring and alcohol inks, which I love. I often end up with something different than what I had envisioned, and it mostly leaves me with a better result. With fluid arts, you have to go with the flow, use your creativity, and just have fun! I have an inner drive to paint, and at the moment, I’m bursting with ideas! I rarely paint with brushes, and instead, I use cups, bottles, straws, syringes, airbrush, heat gun, hairdryer, balloons, paper rolls, napkins, etc.
My wish is that you, as a buyer, will be happy and inspired by my art pieces, that they trigger your creativity and open your eyes for all the beauty within and around us.
I participated in the Twitter Art Exhibit 2015 in Moss, Norway, in March 2015.
I will participate in the Twitter Art Exhibit 2020 in Myrtle Beach, USA, opening on September 4th.
