Saffron-Rose is a lover of all things weird and wonderful. She specializes in mixed media artwork combining abstract expressionism, line illustration, and portraits to create a final piece.
‘’I’m still trying to find who I am as an artist, I love to experiment and truly feel as though art speaks to my soul. It is my passion and I would love to make a career out of my works someday, however, currently, this is just a hobby as I work full time. Whenever I have free time I love to dig deep into my subconscious and paint whatever I feel at the moment. I’m not a planner… instead, I like to think of my art as an occurrence and development of events by chance. My work is very outlandish and free. I enjoy delving into my uncanny and unworldly thoughts to create imperfect creations.’’
She currently lives in Surrey, an administrative and historic county of southeastern England.
Saffron-Rose studied at the University for Creative Arts Epsom from 2013-2015, where she completed both a Pre-Degree and Foundation Diploma course in Fine Art and Fashion illustration. She went on to study BA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts in London, however, due to personal reasons could not continue her degree. She hopes to go back to university one day, but for now, believe everything happens for a reason and would love to focus on other artistic avenues.
‘’My greatest artist inspirations would be painters Marlene Dumas, Cy Twombly, and Margaret Keane as well as movie directors Vincent Gallo, David Lynch, and Nicolas Winding Refn.’’
