Born in Dubai, UAE on February 1998.
Growing up in one of the fastest growing cities in the world has not been easy, but definitely a strong catalyst for my growth artistically. I grew up witnessing this city evolve and grow from a barren desert to what is now one of the most awe-inspiring cities in the world. I still remember the time when “Dubai” was not a commonplace name and had to identify my country of origin with the “Middle East” because “Dubai” and “UAE” were still that foreign to the world.
I graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a minor in Physics, which has forced me to gauge a deeper understanding about the world we live in from a scientific standpoint. After graduating and reflecting on life at a deeper level, I’ve been hit with a huge jolt of artistic inspiration to expand and leave my mark on the Art world. I want my art to be all-reaching and inspiring whilst serving as a grand unifier of the human experience. I aspire to create paintings that add value to people’s lives and reflect my individual artistic perspective on life.
Shahd participated in the “Year of Zayed” Exhibition at St. Regis Dubai, which featured 15 artists from eight different countries. As her studies has kept her busy from participating in any more exhibitions, she is now working on expanding and showcasing her paintings in more international galleries.
