Painting has always been an escape for me. It is a way I can express my emotions without saying a single word. Art has been a part of my life since a very young age, I started painting before I could speak! I decided to take Art in college and there I discovered my passion for abstract art, during these years I really enjoyed messing around with materials to discover something new.
India Born, I moved to the UK at the age of 11. And the only thing that remained the same for me was ART. It was something that did not need explaining yet explained itself so well. I always thought of it as a language that can be understood by everyone. A multicultural soul filled with emotions that can be expressed freely.
In 2017, I decided to study Medicine at the University of Glasgow to graduate as a Doctor. Despite the long study periods and work hours, I kept my Artwork going. With my parent’s support, I turned my house into a “gallery”, with almost every wall being covered in my art pieces. I have always considered my Art to be personal and therefore have been shy with sharing it, this year I decided to step out of my comfort zone!
I enjoy painting anywhere on anything, some of the pieces have been done on old furniture such as tabletops. I also like to dwell into deeper meanings behind each piece, usually start developing from a single word describing an object, feeling, pretty much anything. Colours mean the world to me, a world without colours is just not for me!
