Steve Urwin is a contemporary artist whose studio is based in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire.

Steve’s work is best described as having life and rhythm, which includes great combinations of colour with texture. Steve has had some formal art education, but uses his eyes and allows his best friend, imagination, to direct the process.

Steve has been a working full-time artist since 2003 following an introduction to Acrylics when living in Canada. The subject matter that draws him is shape detail and colour. He loves the collaboration that occurs with clients during commission work and welcomes new art adventures.

Steve loves the following quote from Chuck Close, which for him says it all

“All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself.”
