Stuart Destin is an American abstract painter based in Atlanta. He has been
in the art scene since the early 2000’s. While living in New York City,
Stuart frequented the Guggenheim and The Met and was inspired by the
1940’s and 1950’s abstract expressionism movement, including the work of
Mark Rothko, Franz Kline, Jackson Pollack and Larry Poon. He was later
introduced to the work of Gerhard Richter and began experimenting with
various mediums and tools. Today he uses mainly acrylic and scrapers on
canvas to produce his pieces. Stuart’s artwork can be seen in the homes of
private collectors and can be followed online at The STU|ART Gallery.
